We had a great time at Nationals Park on Tuesday, May 19th at our annual Employee Appreciation Night!
The Nationals started off the game strong against the Yankees with solo shot home runs from Ian Desmond and Bryce Harper, putting the Nationals up by two in the first inning. However, the Yankees battled back in the top of the fourth, scoring four runs throughout the frame against the lefthander, Gio Gonzalez.
The excitement of the game continued throughout the night. The Nationals rallied from a 6-2 deficit to push the game to extra innings. With his 10th walk-off home run in 11 seasons, Ryan Zimmerman led the Nationals to another “Curly W” with a two-run shot to right field in the bottom of the 10th inning. This also moved him into 3rd place for Most Walk-off Home Runs in the National League. Fun fact of the night, Zimmerman’s first career walk-off came against the Yankees back in 2006, at RFK Stadium.
We could not have asked for a better game to attend, and look forward to our next exciting outing!
